Buying a Baby Crib

It is very important to make sure that a baby crib you are buying is JPMA approved and meets all the safety standards set forth in the place where you live. For example, here in the United States, the width of the cribs slats or bars should not be 2-3/8” apart from one another. Another very important factor to consider when looking for a crib is the height between the rails and the mattress should not be more that 2-3/8”.
Also, never borrow or buy a second hand crib that might have already been recalled in the past. All cribs made before 1978 has a high possibility that it contains lead in the finish.
